Want to build a PC for my Dad

Hey guys! I want to build my dad a media PC with a price range of 300$ to 450. Help would be appreciated. He does not game or anything. His just uses it for email, music, internet, etc...

OS included would be nice, but not necessary.

get him a chromebook.

Obviously I want to build him one as it is a better solution than overpaying for a laptop. GTFO Troll.

APU.

 edit:

If you have a monitor then it's 160$ cheaper.

is it really tho? dude is just gona email and wack off to porn so why does he need the performance?

I would never buy another chromebook it was literally one of the worst electronics experiences I have ever had.

+1 this is what I could get, although I would use a different case.

No wonder I've been on Tom's hardware more than this site, someone labeled as support is shit and trolling.

i have heard great things about the Acer c720, good battery life, decent performance, nice screen etc.

Hell an Intel NUC, Zotac Z-box, Mac mini will work. Put Linux on it. Also a Chromebox or book would work if you changed the os to a full featured Linux distro.

i know:) 200r or nzxt 210 are really good but not on sale at the moment. coolermaster n200 is a good one now i think. but this case has the hdd options and 5.25 etc.

Really with a chromebook your not overpaying.

there are some really nice cheap ones with an i3 :). put linux on it and your done.

that's just early adoption follies, they have matured now.

Tek support is a program where someone gives a monthly donation to teksyndicate.

And chromebooks are actually quite good for basic tasks. Plus, you could always install a full-fledged Linux distro to replace chromeOS.

Chromebook look's for me a very good idea ,in Finland where i am working in a destroying of documents or asiakirjojen hävittäminen one of my friend use it and it was a good one and i think it is perfect for your dad too.
