So I have been testing out a few different Linux distributions by installing them on a virtual machine in virtualbox. I have successfully installed elementary and Debian(although that was awhile ago) but now when I try to install Fedora or Nix the installation process goes flawlessly but when I restart it it just gives me the option to boot back into the live version and not the version I just installed. If I do boot into the live version and have a look at the file systems there definitely is something there. I am fairly new to Linux so I don't know that much. I am using all of the latest images available from the developers websites.
Unmount the .iso file you installed from, then boot the virtual machine again. That might help.
In your vm machine options go to the disks part and remove the ISO.
ok thanks that worked I don't know why I didn't think of that though it seems like a pretty simple solution
