So I'm having this issue where even though I'm added to the vboxusers group and have the latest extensions installed, VB still wont detect my flash drive or my iPad (I use it to update it and sync it). I need help with this. I even modified /etc/group. It doesn't look like guest additions is a thing anymore and even so the extensions package manages the USB interface. I've been at this for a few hours yesterday night and this evening so any help would be appreciated. Not using KVM because this is on my laptop and my desktop is down until I can dish out $150 so for now this needs to work somehow. I will note I am on openSUSE Tumbleweed if that help. Thanks. (Funny, I can write bash scripts to update git packages automatically (I think I may make a tutorial on this because its freaking epic), compile from source, and maintain Arch yet cant get VB working lol)
Bump. Still no dice.
Have you tried using the prerealease extension pack? I might of mis-read the change log the other day when I skim read it, but I seem to recall a mention of improved usb 3.0 support. Might be worth a check.

Huh. I'll try it. Thanks
I have had the same problem for quite some time with my laptop, I have not encountered a solution after many hours of searching.
I just run the VM's on my desktop and use VNC to connect from my laptop, but that is not an option in your case.
Sorry I cant help, I just wanted to let you know my experience with the problem.

Thanks for the heads up. I posted in an ancient troubleshooting thread I made that I'm trying to get KVM working. I just can't get it to recognize the damn iso
