Hello again Tek Syndicate community!
I am having trouble trying to grasp the concept of the Virtual Memory and Page File. I have done some research, and from what I have gathered, they both clam be the same and different. I am completely confused, and would like assistance in trying to understand what exactly Virtual Memory and the Paging file are, and what purposes they serve.
When explaining this topic, please try and explain it in very simple terms (Think of it like trying to teach your grandparents or young children).
Any help on this topic will be greatly appreciated!

It is still very confusing to me. Are Page Files and Virtual Memory the same thing? If not, What are the differences?
When an application like a game is load up by the OS it is given virtual memory which is all in a nice block in a row. While in reality that physical location of that data in memory can be all over the the place on the Ram and a hard disk. Paging is memory management scheme which allows allow data in memory that is not need right aways to be store off the physical chips on and on a Hard Drive instead of those physical chips. A page file is what windows choses to call the location on the drive where it is storing all the pages(just think of this as data) on the Hard drive.
