Virtual Machine ubuntu gnome 15.04 Failed to build vmnet

i cant get VMplayer to launch, getting this error using ubuntu 15.04 gnome
i copied the log files from the fail and i tried googling the answer but was unable to find something that worked


all help is appreciated

Looks like you are missing headers in the kernel I suggest you remove Vmware and install sudo apt-get install build-essential and reinstall VMware

aptitude is reporting that i have the current build-essential already installed.
do you have any other ideas on what could be happening?

i got this error now... it can't make the drivers make error 2

after searching for a bit i found the issue was i installed VMplayer 6 when i needed to install VMplayer 7.1
after installing vmware 7.1 i got the same error but after following the steps here http://askubuntu.com/questions/614525/15-04-vmware-player
i was able to run the program
