Great game I’ve recently got back into when I bumped into OpenXcom, a mod pack that rolled out a great many things that I’d bet the original game team would have done if they had the compute (or rather the gamers had the compute) to support it.
Highly recommend it.

Yup saw that already. It’s pretty cool but he hypes a lot so I want to follow the Japanese work via research papers in more depth
