Video encoding and editing!

I wanted to upload a rant video on you-tube talking about the state of modern military shooters, it was propably 7mins long and it took so long to upload so i did't upload it at all. Can someone recommend me a way to encode the videos, 1080p 30fps, i record with shadow play just in case you needed to know that. And if you can can u suggest a video editing program where i can put commentary over the video. Thanks! :D

shadowplay encodes the video as it records

Ok, so you think the format shadow play makes is fine to upload, Thanks. Can u recommend any good free editing software better then windows movie maker, That i could edit the audio and video, thanks again!

I remember Logan, Qain, and Wendell in one of the Inbox episodes talk about a open-source video editor called Limelight. The movie The Kings Speech used it and got best picture. I have not looked into it myself, but you should google it and see what you can find.

The file format of your recorded video is a .MP4 file. It is already ready to be uploaded. Good, "Free" Editors are hard to come by. You could try a trial of Adobe Premiere CS6 or Sony Vegas 12. I make videos for a hobby. Retail price: $800 and $500 respectively. The trials would last 30 days, but your video will turn out exactly how you want it to and the quality will be great. These are broad, complex programs for beginners, but there are many tutorials on YouTube etc

I would give this a try and see if it suits your needs. http://download.cnet.com/VideoPad-Video-Editor-Professional/3000-13631_4-10906278.html    Post again if you get stuck
