Greetings and salutations internet heroes,
I have an inquisition for thee,
I hail from the lands of youtube and our kingdom requires all it's inhabitants to use a fair share of magic in the trait video editing. Now, as I just have settled in their domain, I am in need of some advice. I am a student going to university and as such do not have the gold to dish out to my hearts desires and must make choices with the greatest benefits, so I turn to thee, great heroes, to enlighten me with thine experience.
Now, I have heard that many use Adobe Premier or Sony Vegas and I have tried my hand at cyberlink powerdirector, Camtasia Studio and Lightworks. I tend to get more serious into video editing as well to produce better content and am certainly willing to spend time learning. So my question is, which program would you recommend that will benefit me most? Is it wise to dish out 20$ each month for Adobe Premier or should I spend 200$ on another program as I learn to use the most of it features as I spend more time with the program? Or are there other better options that I should take into account and why?
I do not mind paying more even if I can't quite use it perfectly out of the box. But as I study it, that I become more proficient at it. What I need and want is something that will last me a long time, that I don't need to upgrade 1 year from now because it lacks features that should be essential to people who are serious about their video editing, and that is totally worth the time, effort and money I put into it.
Please share your opinion and experiences with me,
Humbly yours,
