My father have asked me to put togheter a pc for video edeting. So I am out for advice.
He is useing pinnacle studio 16 mostely and its basicly your ordinary family tapes he is producing.
ive been looking at these parts:

I know nothing about video edeting and this might be totaly overkill for edeting family movies or it might be totalt wrong for other reasons. but i want him too have as good of an experiance as possible uppgrading from a system with a i3 and no graphicscard too speak of.
Will studio 16 take advantage of the cuda accelaration of the card or is it wasted on a project like this?
Anny input from those "in the know" would be greatly appreciated.
I live in Norway and plan too use the webshop www.komplett.no for my parts if annyone would like too have a look there for alternatives for this build.
here is another option for you: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3N4Zg
This would be a bit faster in editing and a tiny bit cheaper. I am not familiar with the case you chose but this would be a very silent, smaller and cheaper case, but still very high quality.
I am not familiar with the program your dad uses so i can't tell if he could use cuda/OpenCL acceleration, so i think you should ask him.
Also, if you can find the haswell refresh xeon E3-1231 V3 cpu, i would get that instead, since it has a slightly higer clock speed.
So a xenon cpu is faster on videi editing then? I thought editing would take advantage of the multitude of cores on the amd even though lower clock speeds. There was no rational for choosing the case i chose other than it beeing on sale 50% off and beieng atx size. But I use the define r4 in my own build and he is looking for somthing on the smaler side so that might be perfect. Just have too check out priceing in Norway.
