I have a GTX 650 Ti and since yesterday, it is always under load. The core and memory clocks are maxed out even though it should be idling.
I installed the new version of Precision X, disabled all overclocking, restarted PC several times to no avail.
It is running at a constant 52 degrees regardless of what settings I change. Nothing I do can get the card to idle again. I'm worried someone might be using it as a bot miner.
What should I do?
Check task manager and see what's running there is or was a virus going around from skipe that used the targets video card to mine bitcoin's for the atacker
Checked it multiple times as well as running spybot... No dice...
Boot safe mode with no internet and run 'combo fix'
I heard combo fix can delete legitimate files and destroy a system...
combo fix removes temp files and temporarily disables sistem restore and removes the last restore point becase this is where you can get reinfected, you have to have some realy serious malwhere and viruses for it to destroy your sistem and then a fresh install it going to be better in the first place as your sistem had been flooded by malwhere that cant be removed safely.
There is allways a risk running malwhere/av softwhere on a pc
+1 to this. Anything that maxes out your video card will be using at least some CPU. Looks for suspicious services or process running in the background and kill them until you find the one that is hooking into your video card.
OK, so I reinstalled windows and did the "upgrade windows" option. This fixed the problem for about a week, but now it is back again...
Even if I set my voltage max to .925 it still runs at 1.087-1.1 no matter what...
OK, so oddly enough, it seems to be linked to my Razer Synapse software...
Is it possible that this is bugged/hijacked as it does connect to the internet?
Should I just reinstall it altogether?
EDIT: Problem reocurred even though Synapse is closed completely. It initially fixed the problem, but once I played a game, the frequencies got locked again...
This is so frustrating...
