OK, so I've been looking at an EVGA 8800GS for a about a week for $45. I just found another ad for a 7950 GT 512MB for $50. $50 is my limit, since I blew all my money on everything else for my build, and I'm saving for Windows 7+DX11 card come fall.
Which is better?
8800GS:
384MB
192-bit
96 stream processors
GDDR3
7950GT:
512MB
256-bit
GDDR3
? Stream processors
I'll be using XP, 1440x900
dont be fooled by the better specs it shows 8800 all the way
tough call, its all in the memory and core clocks though, do you know those? im gonna assume they have roughly the same number of stream processors
on second thought get this one

OK thanks, I'll definitely get the 8800GS. Can I play Crysis on High with this thing in DX9? I want to play in 1280x800 at least, and I have a Q9400 with a Zalman CNPS8700LED so I'm gonna OC to around 3.3 GHZ.
