I'm looking to transfer some old VHS tapes to my pc. Anyone have recommendations on hardware to use? I see several out there, but haven't used any.
a capture card that does composiit video and audio and a VCR that does composite out
I don't know any off the top of my head but the older or cheaper newer ones should have those features
You could get an easy cap if you don't want to spend a lot of money, they are like 5 bucks on amazon. For around 20 you could get a dazzle. Or just head down to a local radioshack and see what they have :)
I spent a few dollars and purchased the combination software and hardware bundle called Roxio Easy VHS to DVD 3 Plus. I use 7 but is says on the box it will work back to XP. Will also work to transfer old LPs to DVD as well.
I accidentally ended up with 2 easy caps for vhs fine gaming not :P anyhow I would send you one but it would probably cost the same in shipping just to buy a new one
