Currently, I am utilizing Proxmox with vGPU unlock to distribute the resources of my RTX 2080 Ti among multiple VMs. The configuration functions seamlessly, with the GPU allocated to four VMs, each performing distinct tasks.
On the consumer side, it’s worth noting that the vGPU unlock is restricted to GPUs no newer than the 2080 Ti. Presently, this limitation doesn’t pose an issue since the second-hand market offers an abundance of these GPUs. Nevertheless, a time may come when I need to explore alternative solutions.
- Can VFIO achieve GPU splitting in a similar manner, or is there another solution that I might be overlooking?
- Would SLI work with vGPU? Has anyone tried it?
