Hi guys
its been a long time i havnt posted here but i ve been reading some articles in my free time. Ok my pc today wasnt turning, i press the power button nuthing happens but suddennly i figured out that the more i rubbed my socks on the carpet and used it to turn my pc on it worked it gave my pc a charge which allowed it to turn on and boot normally but i had to keep my foot there for the motherboeard to give the bootup sound and then it was good, so now im wondering what the problem is from, My case (power switch) or motherboard , since i tried to remove everything and replace them in my tower except the motherboard, so its either my power button not giving a charge to turn on or smthn with my mobo what do u guys think ?
It sounds like a power button issue to me. You might want to remove your front panel and make sure the wires on the power button are properly connected.
In order to start the PC kind of puts two wires together... if that is not it... it could be a grounding issue... but I doubt that would just randomly happen... you would have noticed it from the beginning unless you dropped a screw into the case or something...
LOOL i've never heard of this happening before...
is it possible that the CMOS battery fell out? i don't know if a computer would even boot up, maybe the static charge is allowing it to do so... umm, yes, like what logan suggested, check the front panel suggestions.
my asus mobo allows me to power up through the mouse, keyboard or pci-e (wtf lol?) so if you can, turn a powerup enabled device on and try to boot using it. i just press the space bar...
Get into bios with your method, then allow space as a power button :D
could be a capacitor also, check all your soders.
is your PSU plugged in? :)
