Hi there,
I’ve tried everything I can think of but I find no solution for this issue.
I’m trying to do PCI passtrough (in fact I already did that but I restarted from scratch to try and catch the issue, so now, it is just plain simple virtualization without PCI passtrough yet) with an Ubuntu 18.04 host and a windows 10 guest on a Ryzen 5 2600.
The guest works fine, but the host, no matter how I configure the CPUs assigned to the guest (pinning, no pinning, iothreads, no iothreads) becomes very unresponsible as soon as the guest starts using more than one vcpu (with only 1 vcpu during the boot, the host is perfectly responsive).
The specs:
- Ryzen 5 2600
- 16GB ECC RAM
- MB: ASUS TUF B350M Plus Gaming
- Host: Ubuntu 18.04
- Guest: Windows 10
