So I'm doing a build with a Corsair Carbide 540 High Airflow ATX Cube Case. I need a vertical front panel 3.5 or 7 Inch. Preferably it have a LCD with different modes for fan control. But any vertical bays that look good that i can chuck in. Help appreciated I've seen other users ask but I really want something as the PC will be on display on my desk.
Not sure I understand your question? You want more space for HDDs?
No sorry my bad reread and saw it didn't make to much sense. I basically need a vertical front panel.
Ok, the edits make sense now. I think the ROG thing supports vertical? But I have no way to confirm it and the site doesn't provide that info.
Btw, it's a 5.25" bay times 2, not 3.5".
Thanks i did see that but didnt want to buy it if i wasnt sure can anyone on the forums that have this confirm this?
I'd also make sure your mobo supports it. I don't like it because it only works on the ROG boards and hesitated to post it.
You could just skip getting a front panel thing and use Asus's motherboard control scheme, you board may have that.
Since your board is not ROG, it won't work.
I will be using there Motherboard controller but I just wanted a physical GUI on the front. Thats just me just wanting my case to look better. I think I might buy a mini LCD and try and build one myself the stress of it probably gona kill me but I really want one. If I do decide to make my own I'll post on the forum to show of. Thanks for all your help VXAce.
Np. I reckon you can hack something together with a RPi or Arduino, but I know very little about those.
yeah I was gona go the arduino route but cant find any scripts at all relating to any projects like this. Which means I'm gona have to do it all from scratch.
Well that's my summer gone.
