I am planning to build a new computer over this holiday season ,and was wondering if i could use the old hard drive with windows and my other programs on it in my the new computer without running into any difficulties. Many of the parts are going to be from a different companies like amd to intel.
you can but its best to do a format.
If you're just putting the old hard drive into a new setup it will boot fine but you'll want to remove any 3rd-party drivers like graphics drivers first before putting it into the new computer, it'll just save you some headaches lol.
