Useing a tv as a monitor?

Wal-Mart has tvs for like $1500 and they are like 1080p 52in

i live in new york city we dont have wal art the closest mall mart is for like over 900 miles away in Pennsylvania

How the fuck do you not have a walmart.

we dont lol

you buy a 40 inch tv @ 1920x1080 for $1000 while you can get a 24" or 26" monitor for 1/3d of that running at 1920x1200, or 2560x1600

Protip: A TV-tuner equipped PC =/= instant full-screen, live cable service

That 46" Aquos is really expensive! At my work(naval base) that TV was like $1499.99 or $1599.99 no tax. Also, that model is kind of old now. It is a great tv though.

no its 2 for $2000 lol

You can have a receiver box connected with input (cable) and output (VGA//DVI//Component) buy any necessary adapters and hook the cables from the receiver to your monitor. Save about $800
