I’m playing competitive shooters and would like to avoid latency at all costs but really would appreciate such a switch to run my Gaming PC and Mac with the same periphery.
I personally would prefer this one with USB inputs:
Although I don’t know whether their 3.2 usb switch without power input would be a better option?
I have heard in the past that PS/2 connectors are the way to go rather than USB for competitive gaming. USB has a polling rate while PS/2 does not (its a direct wire). Daisy chaining USB will likely degrade the latency even further.
@regulareel isn’t wrong. If you are that concerned then it’s a fair answer to your question. Otherwise the latency you will experience through a USB hub is negligible compared to what the network connection will introduce.
Problem I have I use a mouse with 1 ms latency so I probably should get then a second one for my second system and just use the hub for my dongles and non-latency relevant stuff?
