Usb-c monitor sometimes halts post. Maybe? I think?

Motherboard: Biostar x370gtn – bios latest
Gpu: Gigabyte 2060 super
Monitor: Asus mb16ac (usb-c) & some aoc (hdmi), both plugged in.
Os: Xubuntu 19.10 / Win10

Temporary solution:
When I unplug and replug the usb-c monitor from the gpu everything starts working.

Issues:
1)Most times on boot up, my motherboard reaches the final post code (99), and hangs.
2)Some other times grub does load, but lands me on a completely blank screen, even pinging the desktop doesn’t work.

Notes:

  • In the first issue, I know the computer hangs on post, because if I press delete and unplug the monitor, I land in BIOS.
  • In the second issue, when I unplug the monitor my ps/2 kb(numpad led) and usb mouse turn off and back on.
  • When only one monitor is plugged in (only the hdmi or only the type-c) everything runs fine so far (I need to do more testing on this).
  • This is a dual boot system, windows boots up without a hiccup.

This could be a CSM issue. Try to turn off CSM if you can and see if that solves anything.
