USB 3 port not switching

KVM Model:

1.4 Display Port KVM Switch - Quad Monitor - Two Computer

USB Interface (5-gigabit or 10-gigbit):

10-gbit

Problem:

I haven’t used my KVM over the holidays, so I don’t know when exactly it started, but it worked at least 2 weeks ago.

My KVM does not seem to switch the USB 3 ports.

Setting everything to PC 1 is fine. When I switch it to PC 2, the displays and the HID usb interfaces also switch to the right PC. But the things I have connected to the usb 3.0 port don’t get switched.

They still work and are connected to PC 1. For example I have a streamdeck connected to it, and even when I set the KVM to PC 2, the buttons are set as if they are connected to PC1 and when I push them they will also be received by PC1.

I used the usb 3.0 port in the back and the front but both of them have the issue.

The wiring via usb-c to PC1 and 2 seem ok, as both PCs can receive receive right input via the HID ports, so I don’t think my wiring is an issue (it also worked 2 weeks ago and I didn’t change things here).

I also tried turning the KVM off, disconnecting all the cables, wait for 5 min and then reconnecting everything, but I still got this issue.

I would check if one of the USB 3.0 hotkeys have been pressed on accident.

If you pressed “Hotkey Leading Code + U” while on PC 1, the USB 3.0 ports would stop working for PC 2.

Thanks a lot. That fixed it.

I didn’t know about that feature and it’s actually pretty useful (unless you switch things by accident while playing some games) So thanks for the help and I probably need to disable L-ctrl as leader key.
