USB 3.1 Gen 2 appears as USB 2.0

Strange issue occurred this weekend. I got a new VR headset which must use a USB 3.0+ for connectivity. I installed the new software, then replaced my HTC Vive Pro 2 link box with the new one. I used the same USB port the Vive Pro 2 was in, which also needs a 3.0 USB, but the software said the USB connection was only 2.0 and setup refused to proceed. The port is definitely a USB 3.1 Gen 2 and shows up in Windows Device Manager correctly. Everything is latest patch and driver level.

Tried multiple 3.0 ports with the same error. Rebooted, power reset the link box repeatedly etc. I have a ticket open with the vendor (Varjo), but want to see if anyone else ran into anything like this before?

Mobo is an ASUS ROG Zenith Extreme with 1950x TR CPU.

Thanks.

Just found a reddit post from others having the same issue I am. Looks like a dedicated USB PCIe card is needed to solve the issue. Will update if I hear back from Varjo.
