USB 2.0 to 3.0 converter

I just built my first computer but the case I have has 2 USB slots on the front which both just plug into a standard usb slot on the motherboard, the USB 3.0 slot on my motherboard isn't being used, Is there a way I could upgrade these 2 usb sockets by plugging them into the USB 3.0 slot using some converter cable? If so how can I find one?

Nope! Sorry for the excitement USB 3.0 adapters for 2.0 are available .

No, sorry. USB 3 actually has 3 extra pins built into the bables and devices, thats how they get extra speed.

Thats the only way of geting usb 3.0 on your case by adding a Front Panel expanshon (3.5" or 5.25" vershons there for whatever spare slot you have)
