Upgrading to 64GB

So I’ve been eyeing an upgrade since I often run into issues regarding lack of ram on my 64GB system.
I’m running a 5950x with a b550 Aorus master motherboard. According to the QVL list these are the fastest 64Gig kits I can get:

However, I am not an expert, nor do I know what kit would be best for my setup.
Can anyone help me pick out a good kit?
Of note: I run IF at 1800, so the memory must run atleast 3600.

If that’s the case, if you buy a 4400MHz kit, you’re gonna need to plug in your own voltage and timings to run them at 3600MHz. If you let the system figure out the timings at 3600MHz it’s gonna spit out something worth of an horror movie. So try to find a 3600MHz kit that allows you to just use the D.O.C.P. profile.
If you’re willing to tinker with the system until you find stable timings and voltage you could buy 4400MHz RAM and down clock it to 3600MHz.

But, if you’re gonna go for manual tuning, you’re gonna need to figure out first what’s the IC used for those 4400MHz kits. The IC defines the performance you’re gonna be able to achieve outside the XMP profile. Also keep in mind that secondary and tertiary timings are far more important than primary. So 19-19-19-46 means almost nothing. It’s just a good base line.

So maybe just work out what 64GBs kits you can buy right now, try to find out what ICs are equipped with and get back to us with a list.

High-strung specc’d memory, would be accepted with smaller amounts
Pushing for larger amounts, will have their performance crater, or just plain unstable

If you wish to maintain speeds at volume, then you’d be better off with 2 stick pkg
Worst case scenario, if PC unable to 1-click accepting XMP profile, is having the board go through memory training toggle or manually testing other listed speed/timings. Still a chance of reaching raw speed, but involving a looser timing arrangement

B550 Pro V2 here. currently running 2x32GB 3600Mhz Corsiar LPX RAM. Exact model is CMK64GX4M2D3600C18. XMP works without issues. Have not tried overclocking.

Well, since I’m not down with manually figuring out timings, a 3600 kit will be the way to go. And since the kit you guys suggested is 64 gigs, I might go for 128 on 4 sticks anyways.

So here are the QVL suggested 32 gig sticks at 3600 that are compatible. Is there a clear better choice?

You will be hunting for minute differences really. Things that will only show up in synthetic benchmarks. Get what’s available and cheaper for you. Triple good if it’s on the QVL. Personally I always had a good experience with Corsair LPX RAM and AM4 machines. Beware, however, that SPD is 2133MHz for the LPX sets, so if for some reason XMP does not work then you are either stuck at SPD settings or manually dialing in settings yourself. I think officially Zen 3 chips only support up to 2666MHz in a 4 DIMM configuration with either single or dual rank modules (all 32GB DDR4 sticks are dual rank if I’m not mistaken). Higher than that then it’s overclocking and silicon lottery. SPD is “guaranteed” to work, so if you want some sort of safety net then got for a model with a higher SPD speed (like those GSkill or Ballistix sets).
