Upgrading my old pc parts

I need help on upgrading the parts for my old PC its a Dell Inspiron 560. im trying up update the parts to make it into a gaming pc so i can play games like league of legends, Minecraft, and so on and still be able to brows the web with no lag spikes every 5 seconds. Right now my pc runs LoL at 10-15 FPS and Minecraft at 6 FPS. These are the specs i know so far ,since the idk how to see what graphics card it has or anything i even checked the web and i can only find  Dell Inspiron 560's with different ram and processor but not the whole list of specs.

Ram: 2 GB , Processor: intel celeron

Look up the motherboard and go from there. If you know the type of pcie lanes , maximum ram usage etc.

In total I see you spending no more than $250 (perfection).

GTX 650 b/w Gtx 650 ti boost

More b/w 4 and 8 is good

A high rpm hard drive or a cheap 120gb ssd is good

Have fun ! (I have an old Hp from 2003 I use for the sake of XP )

DEpending if your dell is a 1155 chipset you could just buy 4gb of ram a new gpu and a pentium or a cheap I3 then get a ssd or extra hd if you have the money.

i found the spec page btw ftp://ftp.dell.com/Manuals/all-products/esuprt_desktop/esuprt_inspiron_desktop/inspiron-560_User%27s%20Guide_en-us.pdf

Thanks for the help guys!

looks like you have a 775 socket mobo, you can get E8400 cheap on ebay

I have a 775 socket motherboard (with quad core CPU), 6gb of ram, one pcie 16x slot, and currently a 8600gt in there. I'm looking to upgrade it for games (with 1gb cache video card requirements) and running my oculus rift a bit faster but I don't want to replace motherboard and CPU... I almost understand what that means but I don't. If I went out and got a 760 is there a way to be sure it won't start fights with my other components?

get a 7770 or a 7790.  check your psu and make sure it can handle the upgrades. Hell you could get away with a gtx 650 also. you seem to not be playing any demanding games...
