So my GA-M68MT-S2 motherboard supports 1333 mhz ram but can i overclock it to 1600 ?

Why do you want to?
i want to upgrade from 4gb 1333 mhw to 8gb 1600mhz simply for speeds
Maybe you need to do a bios update for that..
wenn the mainboard supports 1600mhz afther a bios update you can see it in the bios then, ramm frequency settings, then you can try to put it on 1600 mhz, but maybe whenn youre mainboard supports its
if this is the mainboars\d you have! http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3967#sp
it says it supports upto 1600 mhz ramm, but i readed on a diffrent site something about till 8gb of 1333 mhz ramm..

But i think overclocking the ramm to 1600 mhz with a second 4 gb 1600 mhz module i think it isnt possible..., then better spend 20 bucks more to buy 2 modules of 4GB 1600 MHZ if you can´t overclock it, they will normaly runn on 1333mhz, but its safer, then to put 2 diffrent speed modules in youre slots, in youre case maybe if you dont have dual channel support, and you put a 1600mhz module in the first slot and a 1333mhz in the second, they probably will both runn on 1333mhz, wenn its no dual channel, then you can put in diffrent speed modules.. but they will work at 1333 mhz both
So if i bought 2x 4GBram - 1600MHZ. Once i install the ram then what do i do enetr the bios ?
Press DEL, usually. Simply adjust the voltage, timings, and frequency to what is labeled on the box of the RAM (or online for that particular model), and attempt to post with the overclock. If it works, yay, otherwise, you will have to underclock it to 1333.
maybe i should just wait for my new build really
