Upgrading GPU

Hello everyone, this is my first time posting on these forums, so im looking for an upgrade for my current GPU at the moment i have a 5770 with an aftermarket cooler, this card just isnt cutting it, i like to play games on my tv in 1080 and i want something that will really let me crank up the settings.

Another think. i recently got a Fractal R4 case with a window. so, i would like a nice looking card aswell, and my curent card is also lacking in that category.

i have been concidering getting the higher end XFX radeon cards like the 7970 or 7950.

anybody have any other recomendations or reasons i shouldent get one of those cards?

im pretty much looking for a sexy looking card, that will get me the most bang for my buck.

XFX Radeon HD 7950 with an after market Arctic Cooling Accelero Xtreme .. turn on your computer .. and fall in-love

I say you should get the XFX, i have the 7970's little cousin, the 7770 XFX GHZ edition, runs whisper quiet, and overclocks really well without added voltage to 1200mhz core..

Here is the XFX DD cooler in real time, all you can hear is the traffic outside my window...

If you have the money get a XFX 7970, if you have a bit more money, get a 680. And seriously Recon, I love you posting on the forums, you seem to be a great guy, but do you mind not linking one of your youtube videos on everything you post?

Oh, i shall refrain from providing evidence, i shall do empty words instead :P

is the 7970 really worth the extra money over the 7950? its like 120 bucks more and in benchmarks it doesint look like a HUGE diference.

Just make sure that the one you get has a dual-fan setup on it, otherwise they tend to run warm.
