I'm trying to think of ideas for upgrading from and i7 870 with an Asrock P55 USB3, i just want some more suggestion all i ask is that its $300 or under and it doesn't mater what brand of motherboard or processes just want the best for the money. Thanks for the help.
I don't think for $300 you could get anything that would be much better
So an newer i5 of 8350 with an $100 motherboard wouldn't be worth switching too? just wondering because this is my first real powerful computer and I'm not shur want it truly better or not.
I have a i7 960 and it's pretty much on par with my 8350, so I don't think for $300 it would be worth the upgrade.

If you're willing/able to go to 400$ you could get an i7 4770k w/ lga 1150 Mobo
Stick with what you have now. It's still pretty good.
