Upgrades to my old LGA775 pc

i have  aold lga775 intel core 2 quad build witha low end GPU and a HDD for my boot i was woundering if it would be a better to spend the money on a GPU for gaming at higher resolutions or buying a SSD since ther prcies are so low now if i was going to choose a SSD it would be a 120GB ADATA sata 2 and for gpu i would chose a nvida Gforce 550TI from asus because i had one when they first came out but i ahd a short and my card failed and i loved that card would play any thing i threw at it at resonable FPS but i manly play games like minecraft, left 4 dead 2, conbat arms, and killing floor at the moment my GT210 will play these like minecraft at 45FPS on far+32 with optifine and a few tweaks in that but left 4 dead 2 plays at 15FPS on low settings so im just asking what do you all think will be better for a update to my PC i am looking in to building a new PC mid next year since i dont ahve a job yet but i will by next year and i will have the money for a new PC so what do you all think will be a better upgrade for me and the games i play i am also looking it to buying arma 2 and dayZ when it becomes a stand alone thank you for your time.

well, i'd go with 550 Ti over an SSD. Anything higher than than the 550 ti is gonna bottleneck with the cpu

well as you might know most all lga775 motherboards are also only PCI-E x16 so i also need a 2.0 card i ahve had friends let me barow ther higher end cards such as 560's and 570's it is a over clocked CPU i have and it is also a quad core would bottlenecking be a proble still?
