So i recently upgraded to a r9 280x and i want to update the rest of my pc, i have a fx4100 and some cheap gigabyte motherboard, is http://gyazo.com/77ca4113ac2a56e7dea37b13ca2d5522 that a good upgrade ( i need new windows 7 as i currently have windows oem and i want an ssd)
The build looks good to me, asrock make good motherboards I think.
Looks good to me, as long as you already have around a 550 watt psu you should be good. I believe with your current windows license you can deactivate it by contacting microsoft and you can use it on the new motherboard and ssd.
i got cx600 psu and i would rather just buy it again instead of talking to customer service...
Well it would save you £144 to just call them, but it's up to you.
MSI and Asus are the only brands I trust for the 990fx product line tbh..
Also why not Windows 8? Especially with that AMD platform.
