I am currently using a intel Pentium Dual Core E5500...
I really need to upgrade from it mostly for starcraft2
I am also using GMA 4500 which i know is horrible and i am upgradeing to a Radeon 4350 because thats what is laying around. Should i upgrade to a Socket 1155 board or an AMD board. I only want to play Starcraft 2 a medium setting at 1280 x 1024.
Any advise on a GPU to upgrade to in the future would be grate also
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/K2b1 Here's a whole build for $200, if you're wanting to go that route.
You can beef up the new build's performance by salvaging parts to shave money off of certain areas. Like salvaging case/psu/hd/cd drive so you can get an AMD A8-5500 or an HD6670 to crossfire with the A4-5300.
Haswell's IGP will not beat A10 5700/5800k's or even A8 5500/5600k's GPU from the informations i found on the ethernet/internet, anyway upgrade path for him is great with AMD's option. Anyway if he does not plan to buy an dedicated GPU that is not compatible for Dual Graphics with APU's GPU then its fine...
Anyway he could get Athlon 2 x4 750k that uses the same socket as AMD's Trinity/Richland APU's the FM2. Athlon 2 x4 750k is basically a A10 5800k CPU without GPU component.
I think its not available in USA or even Canada, in Europe it is. I live in Croatia so Athlon 2 x4 750 costs 97,50$ while A10 5800k costs 161$. Its a bit odd that there arent much interest and supplies of FM2 Athlons in USA so its close to A10 5800k :S
Athlon 2 x4 750k originaly in USA costed 81$ but now its 107$ on amazon so its only 21-22$ cheaper than A10 5800k, so I am stunned... :P
A10 and Radeon HD 4350 crossfire? No... A10 GPU needs Atleast 6570 but 6670 is reccomended for hybrid crossfire and you will then have a performance of Radeon HD 7770 in games that support well Dual Graphics.
