Upgrade

Got 900 canadian should I buy a new monitor or upgrade my system.

Amd r9 390x 8350 970 mobo 16gb ram 850 psu..

what monitor?

I just use an rca tv

size? resolution? refresh rate? latency?

Idk what it is I play at 720p most of the time and it'd a 60 refresh rate and my resolutions 1370x720 I think or something like tht

if i were you i'd upgrade the monitor now and the cpu and motherboard down the road when zen comes out. you got a nice gpu that has a lot of life left and the psu should be fine for a long time. what types of games do you play?

I play rust overwatch. And alot of other games. I was thinking about getting zen when it came out just don't know how much it would be also. I wanna crossfire 2 390s so I'd love to upgrade my psu to a 1k but I can do that later. But the monitor I was looking at is the 144mhz 1440p monitor from benq

I second @fredrich_nietze, get a monitor first.

freesynch is a good idea if since you already have a amd gpu.

I don't have an ebay

Im canadian aswell I got 870 in my PayPal right now so I'm wanting to buy

Isn't that better?

the benQ is tn and 1ms and twice the price. the pixio is 4ms ips and half the price. i'd go with pixio and save the rest for zen.

Don't forget the pixie is usd + shipping brokerage and shit for cross boarders

Black Friday sales are usually an awesome time to get monitors.
Also check out the Best Buy site, I had great luck at in the refurb/open box section.

Would u think zen would make my 390x run better? Is the 8350 holding my system back? Aswell as owyld it be worth it trading my 390x for a 480+ cash and cross fire 2 480s over 390s

with a better cpu you'll get better framerates. i dislike the term bottle necking but thats a tangent i will stay away form today.

supposedly they took a intel chip and zen chip and set them both to 3ghz? i think it was 3 and then had them both do the same thing and the amd chip won barely. same # of cores and threads. so better then the 8350? yes. better then the current gen and next gen of intel? maybe. intels 6 series strength is in the ability to overclock to high frequencies as nearly every k chip can hit 4.5 or higher. the performance per watt is there but we dont know the heat or how scalable it is, yet.

and the 390x has a very small lead of the 480

i dont know enough about crossfire and canadian prices to be able to advise on this.

I heard the 4690k is a great pare with the 390x
