Getting the upgrade itch, and have been looking at a possible replacement for my 7950. Anything in the ~$200-250 range worth it? 380 maybe?
Nothing in that price range is worth it, plain and simple.
Hardly worth it, you should be set until HBM 2 comes out, unless you want something more power efficient, in which case the fury Nano is coming out shortly.
see if you can find a R9-290. they are around 250ish or so dollars.

Yeah that card would be definitely worth it.
eh... it's debatably worth it, it's about a 40% performance increase. personally I try not to upgrade unless if I'm getting a performance doubling

I recently joined an ARMA 3 realism unit and want to OC my 6350 in an attempt to boost my performance in that. Would I have comfortable headroom for an OC while running a 290 on a 600w psu? I'm also looking for something that can get me ~60 fps on high settings at least in GTA 5, I currently average around 45. I play at 1080p.
upgrading your graphics card won't give you the boost in performance you're looking for in arma thanks to the cpu. GTA 5 would run 60 fps however. A 600w psu is enough if it's a decent one.

Should totally wait for the fury nano man, 290x performance at half the wattage. Should be even better once they fix the overclocking in the drivers, and I believe the fury cards fully support DX12.
Here you go. Performance summary. Decide for yourself if the price is worth it. It should perform about as well as a 285, just for reference. Personally, I have a 280x (7970) and I don't plan to upgrade until the next generation of gpus as I don't think that the upgrade is worth the money yet.
