Upgrade Time. 2950x + 2080ti

So I decided to treat myself to an upgrade for productivity, gaming, my development work and in the future potentially some windows vm gaming.

Tossing up purchasing a Radeon Pro to throw into it for a linux host and pass through the 2080ti. Will be adding another 2x16Gb kit of RAM in coming months.

I’ve tried installing Fedora 29, but really not had any luck with the nvidia drivers, even in the Live USB so far - will post a virtualisation update when we work it out!

OK, I just ordered a WX5100 to use as a host gaphics card, let’s see how this goes.

EDIT: Oooh I can now help test Looking Glass!

Isn’t a 2080ti sort-of wasted on a 1080p monitor? Considering you’re already spending a lot of money, a 1440p or 4k monitor should have been possible too. (I realise this might be a bit late, but I’d like to hear your reason behind this^^)

Yeah I’d agree, currently it is pushing a 4k TV as an extra display, with plans on moving to an ultra-wide in the future!
