Upgrade recommendations?

I have just recently just got into PC gaming and love it.  But my fps sucks in general.  I don't play any *newer* games yet, i only have arma2, rust, and SWTOR.  The FPS averages at about 32 the max I've seen it peak at in arma2 is 39 on high settings 720p.  I have been thinking about getting a new graphics card by the end of the month.  right now i have a msi R7770.  I really don't want to spend more than $340.  I'm not picky about manufacturer either.  Any suggestions?

mobo: msi fm2-a75ma-e35

power supply: TT 600w

CPU: amd athlon x4 750k

ram: g.skill 4gb (plan on getting another 4gb stick)

HDD: WB blue 1tb

GPU: msi r7770

280x, gtx760 or gtx770, cant really go too high as you cpu will end up being a bottleneck. Another 4gb of ram is essential.

go for 280x, CPU bottlenecking will be reduced by mantle soon.. Btw are you still playing on 720p monitor or going for 1080p? Im playing ultra 1080 BF4 but it doesn't eat more than 4 GBs of ram (this is with win 7 64bit).. BTW what kind of ram sticks do you have? (2+2?) or (4?), if your 4Gb is already on dual channel, either buy a new set of 4+4 or just stay with it for the time being..

My monitor is 1080p but i have to play on 720p so my fps is not complete crap.  my ram is one 4gb stick.

Get a 280X and mine coins when you're not using the personal computer.

I would get the 280x but it had a major price increase of almost $100.  I looked on newegg and their lowest price was $430

Unless you get your electricity for free then personal mining of the major crypto currencies will cost you money and put unnecessary stress on the gpu. Yeah $430 is way too bloody steep for a 280x. You can get a really nice gtx770 for a lot less, hell even 780's on sale get close to that mid 400 mark.
