Upgrade from a Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2P

I have currently have a Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2P, but it is lacking SATA rev. 3 and a USB 3 header. I know that a HDD won't benefit from the SATA 3, but it would really come in handy for upgrading to an SSD. I also need a USB 3 header because I am lacking some front connectivity. I have a very limited budget so anything low in cost would be very helpful. Thanks in advance.

I have an AMD fx 6300. Socket AM3+.

Also with the Asus M5A97 would the crossfire only support conflict with my nvidia card?

No, for a single gpu its fine. But you are not able to do sli on that board. If you want a sli option then you need a 990FX chipset board.

Do you have any suggestions for a low cost motherboard that has 990FX chipset?
