Hello all,
My specs are as such
gigabyte GA-970A-DS3 mobo
AMD FX 6100 OC @ 4Ghz (very stable) cooled with a big cooler master heat sink
8 gig ram
Asus GFX 660 TOP GPU
cooler master PSU 500W
In BF4 i get around 45 to 50 fps maxed out
COD AW i surprisingly get around 70 to 80 FPS maxed out excepted for super sampling, AA at X2
common sense tells me the CPU should be the first upgrade,
the FX 8350 maybe?
CPU is fine, most games are GPU-intensive.
If you are happy with your current performance, there's no need to upgrade anything. If you want more FPS, get a new GPU.
If you don't have one, get an SSD. Won't affect games, but sure as hell will make your PC more comfortable to use.

yeh forgot to say, i have a small SSD with just my OS on it and a 500 GB and 1 TB mechanical drives for everything else. the 660 top has served me well, its still a a kick ass card in my opinion, i have thought about getting another 660 top and run them together? the 660 and 660 TI are still quite easy to find, the 660 top isnt so easy to find for some reason. I would consider getting another tho.
I don't recommend getting involved in SLI unless you need more performance than most powerful single GPUs can provide. It's really not worth it.
Your motherboard doesn't have a second PCIEe x16 and 500W power supply can't really handle 2x GTX 660, so it's not really an option anyway.

The FX6100 is limited ... an upgrade to FX8350 along with a fresh install on an SSD would be noticeable.
Especially if you upgrade the GPU at the same time ... AMD GPUs are at an all time low price.
