(updated build) Looking to get into PC gaming on a budget? Does this build need any improvements?

Hey!

Firstly i'm from Australia so the prices may seem off to you. Anyways I want to join in on PC gaming but on a budget so i've put together this build and need some opinions on it. All criticism is accepted.

I want to play games like
. 7 Days 2 Die
. Rust
. Arma 3

Thank you!

UPDATE:

  1. The build is a lot different than when I first posted this and it is the same link as I just save over it each time
  2. If anything else needs changing please let me know (not sure if I should upgrade the case

try looking computer shops in your own area which may be cheaper than pc part picker australia which i did for mine which costed about 750 excluding the psu which i bought ages ago from a crappy place called Center Com. check out my profile for my specs. Oh for the specs you'll be fine playing those games and get the corsair CX500 to try to lower the price a little its a great power supply

Agreed, look for some local shops. When i built my pc, i used umart and MSY, which sometimes have lower prices than those listed on pcpartpicker.

links to the sites:

http://www.umart.com.au/

http://www.msy.com.au/home.php

  - with the msy site just click the box for stock level, its eaiser to work through than the pdf with all the prices

MSY is not that trustworthy with lawsuits about warranties against them i heard even though i used it to get most of my parts due to how easy are the parts are. my friends say that Pcasegear is the best shop when looking for the parts and the shipping can be free if you bought a bunch of parts from that site which i heard can be free but not too sure about it.  http://www.pccasegear.com

Get a better motherboard, such as the Asus M5A97 R2.0.  Get a CX500 psu instead of the seasonic power supply to save some money.

Thank you to all responses. I did not expect this much support! I'm going to take all of your suggestions and see where that takes me. Thank you! :D

what is your buget?

Cause the biggest problem for your build would be the cpu choice, since you an ARMA player, this game has a realy bad codded gaming engine, to utilize more cores, This games runs much better on an intel cpu. Cause intel has a better single threaded performance. Offcourse the game wil run on an FX6300 aswell, but you will be dissapointed by the gaming performance.

Grtz Angel ☺

It came out to $900 which is pretty much my budget. This would be my first PC though cos I have a mac currently. Please dont shun me lol

Get intel i5 4440 or similar and cheaper b85 motherboard and you don't need aftermarket cooler for this. Arma 3 is doing way better on intel. Next you dont need that powerfull psu. 450w seasonic gold will be more then enough. For case you can save money and buy something like CM miniT n200. Gpu try to get atleast r9 270x.
MSI TF would be nice

Also, with this you will pay less for electricity. In australia it does matter right?

Thanks for the help i've replaced the parts accordingly except for the case which isn't available for purchase on the website so is there any other cases you would suggest on au.pcpartpicker.com ?

IMO with this cpu anything lower then 270x would be waste
