Update to build, Any Tips?

My advice if I was building a 1080p gaming rig

Fx 6300

Any Mobo with x16 pci port

8g 1600 ram

Bronze 750w psu

Aftermarket heatsink

R9 270x or hd 7950 even gtx 670 (cheapest)

128 ssd and 500g hd

win 7 oem is $80. Your Mobo should last you 5 years and it's the last thing to upgrade.

Want to step up to 1440p gaming add another gpu and oc cpu 4.6ghz

If it were just for gaming then that would be great, but I do a lot with my current PC and it cant handle most of it. A lot of editing and intensive GPU and CPU tasks like Adobe CS6 and such as well as games like metro and skyrim and BF4.

Saidly you have to have a high end cpu.

Only thing I change is the gpu.

280x or 4g 760. You won't be happy playing skyrim in less your brand new pc can handle max 1080p graphics.

I see, thanks for the GPU suggestions, ill see how much more money I could put into this and hopefully will be able to amp it up enough to get one of those or a similar card. Thanks man (or woman, no discrimination).

I chose the 4g 760 for now tp see how the price goes up. What psu would be recommended? 450 was plenty before but this card alone needs 500w. Modular is not necessary but is preferred as well as 80+bronze (and up). Any suggestions?

Man.

No lower then cx 500 corsair psu.

750w is the sweet spot if you planning on two gtx 760. Which would be a beast of a pc using the new g sync monitors.

I see, thanks a bunch for all the help man, I'll check for 750w first but probably wont run two 760's in this build. You've been a big help.

There is actually a sale right now to egt the cx 600w psu for 65, 5 more than the 500w, so I think thats what I'll do for now until the sale ends or I buy it. Thanks though.

Np 600w will do great. Powers a gtx 780 or r9 290 with no issues.
