Long-time viewer of the Tek and need help building a (my first) new PC to develop and code games using the Unreal Engine 4.

Recommended Hardware Requirements:

Processor - Quad-core Intel or AMD, 2.5 GHz or faster

Memory  - 8 GB RAM

Video Card - NVIDIA GeForce 470 GTX or AMD Radeon 6870 HD series or higher

 

Restrictions:Budget: €1000-€1500 (Ireland - euros)

NVIDIA graphics card (I own a 3D vision monitor)

Intel processor (default preference; if you have a convincing contra-argument, you'll have a willing listener) 

Do need Windows OS.

Don't need overclocking, monitors, peripherals, or custom watercooling.

+ Windows 8 64-bit.  If you can find a Xeon E3-1230 V3, or any Xeon E3 v3 CPU(preferably ends in a 0 or 1 [1231, 1241, 1240, etc) for a price similar to an i5-4690k, I would suggest that.
