Unraid in Production Environment?

Has anyone used UnRaid in a production environment?

I really like the ease of use for creating a large pool of storage and virtual machine creation, but I have no idea regarding sustainability and long term use. I am planning on running at minimum 2 Windows Server VMs and possibly a one or two Linux VMs.

I currently have 12 4TB drives and if I used 2 parity disks that leaves me with 40TB of storage space.

Does anyone have any thoughts or information they could share about their experiences? Thoughts?

I'd trust Windows Storage Spaces over Unraid, FreeNAS, or anything else that does creative RAID of multiple drives to a larger logical pool.

Personally, I only trust mirroring storage.
