Unparking Cores?

I ran across a vid on Youtube, and some guy recommended a program that unparks your cores by modifying registry settings.  Here's a link to the video...

The guy in the Youtube vid said he experienced an increase of 10-15 fps in cpu intensive games.  Feel free to share your thoughts.

Why not disable power saver settings?

Already did.  That's one of the first things I do once I install the OS.  I opened up the core unparking program, and it still showed that the cores were parked even with the power saver settings disabled.  I unparked the cores through the program, restarted my computer, and it seems to have worked.  Not sure about the FPS increase though.  I'm not very good at doing benchmarks.
