I recently swapped out my HDD on my laptop for an SSHD and ran some benchmarks on it to make sure it was functioning properly.. what I was met with wasn't quite what I was expecting and I wanted to get some other opinions.. does this look normal?

I also ran the same test on the old HDD, and the SSD I have in my computer. Thoughts and comments greatly appreciated.
For clarification of your specific drive it is a traditional 5400rpm mechanical hdd with 64mb of cache with the addition of a 8gb ssd for an clever algorithm based cache.
The way these work is currently read/written files are dumped to the ssd for speed ie. the operation system and whatever else. It does take time for the drive's controller to learn what files to do this with though and it can take many boots for things to really pick up in speed. As for tests like that of atto - if you were to run the test say a dozen times you should notice an increase in speed.
How are the boot speeds by the way?
Have a look for some reviews of the unit and see what speeds they get for comparison.
In saying all this there is always the chance that the drive is a dud.
