The bios and device manager both recognize my WD Black HDD, but the HDD doesn't show up in "This PC" ("My Computer" for pre Windows 8). Any help is greatly appreciated.
Go under Disk Management and assign a drive letter to it. Is it a new drive? If so, you can also use Disk Management to format it, if necessary.
Where is disk management?
Is it a new HDD? If so you have to format the drive so Windows can use it.
If you're on Windows 8.1 right click on the windows button (Bottom left hand corner) and select Disk management and Initiate the hard drive and create a new volume on the hard drive. Hope this helps.
