Under $1000 First Gaming Build

This will be my first build for myself, after watching my roommate build his 2nd gaming rig I've finally deciding to go out and spend the money to build my own. I've asked his opinion but would really like more feedback to help in anyway. I'm wanting a system to run games at 1080p and to be able to stream over twitch and such. I originally wanted to stick around $600 as a budget but later decided to raise that to below $1000

This is what I have so far: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3tkm6

I haven't even begun to look at monitors, keyboard, or a mouse. I probably will once I solidify my choices for everything else.

Another thing I'm not sure about is the case I threw the Rosewill in the build for the time being but my other choice was this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811146109

Finally my last concern is cooling, I'm probably going to look into overclocking nothing extreme just a decent bump up. I'd rather stick to air cooling to try to keep cost down and because I know it's entirely possible to provide enough cooling with air alone.

Well thanks for taking a look at my build any feedback helps.

The build looks pretty good overall. For the motherboards, go with whichever one you think will fit your needs the best. I honestly can't figure out the difference between them in features other than the amount of USB ports and the 5 year warranty on the Sabertooth. Passed that they all look pretty much the same to me.

As for the cases, if you look at the pictures of the insides of the cases side by side you'll notice that they are pretty much the exact same, leading me to the believe that they are the same case with different front panels. In short, go with whichever you think looks better.

Alright so after a lot of research I've come up with an AMD build and an Intel build. There is about a $100 price difference between the two and was hoping for some additional feedback, as to the pros and cons to each. I do plan to overclock my system as high as I feel comfortable with the temps and it is stable.

INTEL: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/blankvista/saved/4qSW

Both looks pretty good.  If you play a lot of games that aren't threaded well, such as Arma and DayZ, Intel would be better.

Why not FX-8350?

I'm still trying to work out the pros and cons on both and see if it's worth the $100 since I'd be going over my budget. And I still need to work out the peripherals I'll be getting so I don't know how much that will add up to be on top.

+1 for your intel build. Except I prefer spending more money to get a quiet fully modular PSU

If you still have to get peripherals, I would go for the AMD build then.  Peripherals, especially the monitor, will add up.

Keyboard and mouse are up to you.  I've had to downgrade some parts, but it should be very, very similar in performance.  I don't think you will be able to add in any fancy mice or keyboards unless you downgrade something.

I've updated the links now both under $1000 the AMD with a 770 and the Intel with a 760, both around the same price now.

This just came to mind with the upgraded 770 for the AMD build would the power supply be enough to have room for overclocking?

Yes, there will be plenty of wattage to spare.

The AMD build looks pretty good, as the GTX 770 is quite a bit better than the GTX 760.
