Uncle wants to build a pc

Hi guys. I told my uncle of the gloriousness of pc gaming and he wants to convert. His budget is 2500$ and he wants 2 monitors, a mechanical keyboard, a headset, and a mouse included in it. I have an idea of a list but I'd like to see what you guys would do

  1. What does he plan on using PC for?
  2. how large of monitors ... 1080p or 1440p or ?
  3. headset for gaming? Chatting or audiophile grade?
  4. Speakers?
  5. Any other relevant info to better help us to help you.

This definitely isn't overkill, except maybe the 16GB of RAM. 8GB is plenty, but I went with 16GB because you can fill all four dimm slots that way for a cleaner aesthetic. The peripherals are all up to him honestly, depends on what he likes but I added some to make the list complete.

if it was me ... I would swap the ram to 1600 Mhz and just go with a single R9 290  and maybe a higher efficiency PSU  and a set of creative t40s

other than that ... solid build

that should kill the rest of the budget

Okay, the 8350 is a solid 8 core CPU that is plenty fast. and the Noctua is a great matching cooler.

the Asus M5A99x Pro is a great board with some overclocking ability and UEFI

For this budget, I see no reason to not run with 16 gigs of 1866

I would have gone with an MX100, but I went with a 250 gig samsung 840EVO due to it being faster in the 250 gb sections

The Hitachi HDDs are some of the most reliable out there.

The NZXT switch is an AMAZING case hot swap bay, and a light on the back to see mobo inputs. it is also  BIG

a Gold rated 1000 watt PSU is needed in this case and the EVGA PSUs are great for this and it is gold rated.

it needs all this wattage because on this budget you can go with 2 R9-290s Vapor -X

The accessories fit your criteria, but I hate picking these out because of personal taste is different. With this budget there is a  lot of give and take, like, better monitors by giving up a GPU Etc some games do not play nice with x-fire, but there are work arounds.

Edit pulled off GPU, Added custom WC kit  http://pcpartpicker.com/p/73Z6NG

Does he want to overclock?

if he is old like me ... he may want a larger monitor ... ?

Need to hear back from OP .. or we are just guessing what they want ...
