I’ve been thinking about this since yesterday. I think ultrawides look kinda stupid… But I have a monitor arm on my desk for 2 monitors that basically make an ultrawide… Why don’t I just get an ultrawide and kill cable clutter even more?
I don’t really know anything about ultrawides though. There was an LG one that I was looking at for about 180, but I just wanna make sure I am looking at the right stuff.
I need it to have at least 4 inputs hopefully with PiP. Dammit now I wish I knew where that link went for the one I was looking at. I don’t exactly care if its IPS or a TN panel, just as long as lighting is relatively even and red doesn’t just look like brown. Speakers for console support are an added bonus. More inputs the better ofc.
Under 300 is used or sales you aren’t gonna find good ultra wides unless you go 29” which is tiny 34 inch ultra wide or larger
I had a flat panel ultra wide a while ago you can’t really tell there is a curve on em so flat is IMO worth unless you get those SUPER ULTRA WIDES like that 49” ones
Curved screens are better for large af TVs and suw screens
I owned a 34um95 lg it was my favorite screen tho it was one of the first ones I loved it with thunderbolt dp mini dp a lot of hdmi’s and usb hub/kvm
Within this budget you can get only 2560x1080 screens, 29 or 34" and exclusively from LG (at least in the EU).
IIRC 34" 1440p monitors start at 500 USD.
