Ultrabook vs Custom Built laptop

I am currently debating on whether to get a custom built laptop from Stealthmachine.com for around $1500. I typically want it for more portability when working on projects that are of graphic design nature i.e. Adobe Master Collection. Should I get something custom built like that or maybe try and get an ultrabook? I like light and portable but I also prefer power at anything I need. Can ya'll help shed some light on the matter? https://www.stealthmachines.com/overview.php?computerid=12

That custom laptop is a gaming laptop. And when it comes to gaming never go for laptop over desktop and it seems very heavy. But since you need it for graphic design maybe you should go with the ultrabook OR DARE I SAY a macbook pro 15.. I mean like always apples are really bad for gaming due cost to performance ratio AND the shitty mouse profile aceleration. However if its JUST got projects that are graphic desgion like Adobe photo shop and animation.. why not go with the MBP 15 inch, its very portible, light, AND its powerful enough. BUT THATS IF you would like to spend that much. Otherwise you might as well go with the Ultrabook, if lightness is all you care about.

Personally i'd never buy a custom gaming laptop. Battery life is horrid and the thing is heavy as hell. These things force you to have the computer plugged in, and not moving. So why not just build a desktop instead. Go with a good ultrabook or a light laptop for work, and a custom built desktop for play/whatever.

I actually already have a gaming desktop. I don't really need another one. I am however building another pc as a workstation specifically for after effects and what not. Really just debate with either ultra or some other kind of thin laptop with peformance. I saw the zenbook ux32vd which seems nice. I heard it gets really hot.
