+1 for 9570.
Can deal with whatever I throw at it. Haven’t tried long rendering sessions, but it’s decent in short bursts and gaming.
Edit: Also, the memory and SSD are upgradable. The 9575 is soldered.
The Huawei Matebook X Pro could be a good pick. Has Thunderbolt 3, and its 3:2 display is roughly the same height as a 15.6" 16:9 laptop’s. Only problem is the memory’s soldered.
Looking at a “teardown” video on the 9570 looks like its ok minus getting to the ram, not 100% sure where it is yet
Service manual says it’s behind the battery.

Actually amazed the 32gb version with 1tb nvme isnt a horrible price if i were to add the parts myself would be the same price so really I would loose an extra 256gb nvme drive out of the deal hrm… But i could wait and do upgrades for presents
