UE4 games on DXVK and Wine/Proton with AVX vs AVX2... Performance difference?

Discovered EAC can work under Linux. Game called Squad has EAC and works with EAC. Reason why is the game has a wine64 eac files (presume their just win64) and the EAC app can login and find those files.

SCUM for example only finds win64 files in the EAC servers. You can download EAC files for any game ID to get correct one.

Point being is EAC support basically exists under wine/proton but isn’t implemented or enabled by default. Possibly devs can enable like what Squad devs did, but also Tim Sweeney may be stopping progress… hard to tell.

I was looking into spoofing the URL to point /wine64/ to /win64/ but I couldn’t figure it out. Possibly doable within wine, but I’m not knowledgeable enough to do it.

So in good news Proton GE 6.10 has resolved the performance regression I reported earlier.

Lutris would be very interested to hear that, and so would TKG. Guy1524 is focused on Media Foundation patches now, so TKG would be a better person to present this info too.
